Another small profit last time out from a 9/2 winner and a 9/2 place. Here's today's tips for you, and I am sure we will keep moving in the right direction. I know the weather is miserable but it is Sunday and if you are lucky you won't be at work.

It's funny a lot of the racecourse that I bet on , I don't have a clue where they are . Fairyhouse , Naas and Leopardstown are a few and I always thought Lingfield was in Ireland (it's in Surrey)  and Thirsk was in Scotland (It's in Yorkshire and has some excellent cafes) !!

Two places and a fourth yesterday and Thistlecrack my dead cert recommendation came second to Trevor Hemmings' "Many Clouds" who tragically collapsed and dies after running the race of a lifetime (see here) Yesterday we returned £1.5 for the £5 bet, so today we go again across the trhee meetings today.

Today's Racing was wiped out, well there was racing at Leopardstown , but that didn't look interesting and looking at the results was a good job I didn't try.

You do have a temptation to try and take the easy route , like betting on favourites, which would be great if they were guaranteed to come in. I have seen races were all of them were won by favourites and an accumulator on that would net a tidy sum, but I have never been that lucky.

Anyway no need to show you the story so far as yesterday's post will show that. Tomorrow's choices are from Bangor and Newcastle with one short odds one and I would suggest a the doubles on teh nose and the treble each way so 3 x £1 singles, 3 50p doubles and a 25p e/w treble.

Hope the racing survives and we get three winners.
