I haven't posted since February, because I haven't been able to predict enough winners to share with you. Yes I've maintained a decent return mainly from last minute bets , and horses that have served me well in the past or I like the name of. One of the reasons I enjoy betting is the statistical analysis (sad I know) which is great when it pays off, but when you put 50p on a 40/1 outsider because you like the name, that sort of says it all.

I've stopped subscribing to by tipster because the only guarantee was that the horse would come last (with the odd exception) , my profits dipped below 2K so that was the cut off. I am amazed at the number of tipsters who predict "guaranteed" winners. You're not guaranteed a winner even in a one horse race, it could fall or be pulled up or be disqualified!!

I think these tipsters make a tidy sum from loyal subscribers, if you have 500 subscribers paying £15 a month , that's £7.5 a month which is a reasonable income for something which may not be a success. I was paying £9 a month , betting £10 a day, so now I'm on your own.

It's Epsom Derby day and my tips are at the top. Good luck if you use them . I put a 30p e/w trixie and 3 one pound singles on. If you can get a free bet somewhere it's worth a punt, or you can sign up for a lot of the big betting sites through TopCashBack and get free bets and cashback.

Our last tip brought back £2.5 for a five pound ;ay out . Yesterday I didn't publish as the three I chose were very long odds, and typically I got one win and two places resulting in £28 back for a £7 bet. Here's the proof:

Another small profit last time out from a 9/2 winner and a 9/2 place. Here's today's tips for you, and I am sure we will keep moving in the right direction. I know the weather is miserable but it is Sunday and if you are lucky you won't be at work.

It's funny a lot of the racecourse that I bet on , I don't have a clue where they are . Fairyhouse , Naas and Leopardstown are a few and I always thought Lingfield was in Ireland (it's in Surrey)  and Thirsk was in Scotland (It's in Yorkshire and has some excellent cafes) !!

One winner last time out returning £3.75 for our £5 stake. So I am giving you three for tomorrow. These aren't the only bets I put on, and very often I will see something that takes my fancy and I will place a winning bet, but that's just luck of the moment and impossible to share and I'm not going to say I won this or whatever. My project with the tips on this blog is to put these tips into big (well biggish) profit. I want you to be able to put a bet on tomorrow and buy a couple of drinks with your winnings.

I have started posting every few days because some days I just don't see ant potential winners I could share with you.

This isn't exactly going to plan is it. Though I will be saying I told you so when I get three winners and take it into profit. I've not bothered over the last few nays but have won money on some trending bets but it's easy to say what you did yesterday, a little more difficult to predict.

Still I will keep doing it just not everyday.

It's like performing in public, you can prepare all you want but you can't prepare for every unexpected event and horse racing , like any sport is full of that.

Well yesterday Huntingdon was called off and my choice that did run (Kerrow in the 3.55 at Doncaster) came second but race field was down to 4 due to a 250/1 withdrawal so that meant no each way money, so 50% due to returned stake for non runners which wiped out the 50% profit from the day before.

At Cheltenenham Thistlecrack is running in the 2:15 and I doubt he'll be beaten, he's won everything so far easil so that will give you a 50% return on anything you bet. But here are my selections for today but it's worth putting something on Thistlecrack as well.

Well a  profit today , 1 non runner, 1 place and 1 winner but proves I can get things right. This is the thirteenth post of this blog and some people think that's unlucky , but we shall see with my tips for tomorrow which could return a tidy sum if you get these odds AND more importantly they win.

I think Coral give ludicrous offers of like 30 to 1 for Chelsea to beat Sunderland for new customers with a maximum bet of a pound and Ladbrokes have the "acca" insurance for five fold accumulators where you get your money back as a free bet if you lose. To be quite honest they are rubbish offers. If your are a new customer sign up through TopCashBack and you will get some cracking offers that way , I think I got about £30 for signing up with Ladbrokes and Betfred.

I missed today, probably a good thing given my recent performance, but I will turn this around, as I said at the beginning using my own tips I am well in profit over the last 12 months. There are a lot of tipsters who charge a fortune for their tips which would be fine if they were guaranteed, but I've not seen one that lives up to it's claims apart from maybe Free Racing Tips who have returned a decent profit for a reasonable outlay for me.

Also Betfair have decided I can advertise for them, they are good because you get a permanent best odds guaranteed and they give you a decent starting offer as well., if you don't have an account they are worth signing up with.

Sometimes it's good to look at what horse are "steamers" odds shortening close to the race, again sometimes this works sometimes not.

So here are my educated guesses for tomorrow my friends, I'll update the story so far with Friday's tips.

Sunday the Racing was wiped out, today was the worst performance so far , not even a place , though I'm always suspicious of favourites being pulled up, surely nothing underhand there then. Anyway here's tomorrows tips and the story so far.

Today's Racing was wiped out, well there was racing at Leopardstown , but that didn't look interesting and looking at the results was a good job I didn't try.

You do have a temptation to try and take the easy route , like betting on favourites, which would be great if they were guaranteed to come in. I have seen races were all of them were won by favourites and an accumulator on that would net a tidy sum, but I have never been that lucky.

Anyway no need to show you the story so far as yesterday's post will show that. Tomorrow's choices are from Bangor and Newcastle with one short odds one and I would suggest a the doubles on teh nose and the treble each way so 3 x £1 singles, 3 50p doubles and a 25p e/w treble.

Hope the racing survives and we get three winners.

Two winners and a place today , although prices had shortened from 9/4 to 4/5 for Neon Wolf and from 15/8 to evens for Seven Clans that came second, so based on early prices £10.50 back from a £5 bet. Always try and get Best Odds Guaranteed (Betfair do that permanently).

Anyway Haydock is abandoned tomorrow so I've taken three from the Fakenham card.

As I say I know nothing about racing and horses are  the only animals that actually bite me, but I am ok with figures and working out probabilities from data.

Well it's hardly been an auspicious start to this blog , yesterday one place and no money. Anyway we will keep going with today's tips.

Having said that, my tips are not too bad and compare well with other tipsters, but really we're all selling snake oil, except I'm giving it away.

One of the problems is that paid tipster sites often massage their figures and don't take into account the stakes you lose. But the main thing is to just be sensible, which may at the moment being ignoring my tips .

Just one winner today and a return of £3.75 for a £5 bet, This is actually better than my financial advisors investments in stocks and stuff, but that is not as much fun. You will numerically lose more bets than you win, but with multiples and reasonable odds we will pull this into profit. I only started this because my own personal tips over the year have netted me £1,100 profit on £3,600 of bets you I can predict a winner or two.

Ladbrokes often give enhanced odds on reasonably priced horses, the other day I got £14  for a £2 bet then lost £4 on two more bets but they quite often come in.

You know the odd thing is I find horse racing very tedious, in fact anything that involves just going round a track is quite tedious, apart from Speedway, Speedway is good. Probably because a Speedway Bike is the only motorcycle I could ever ride.

This is just a short post to set the blog off. The intention is to give horse racing tips each day , so you can see how good or bad I am.

Todays Selections

I want odds of between 2 and 4 to 1 for each horse , so if just one wins you can cover your outlay. I've included my tips for today which are no use because by the time you read this the races will have gone.
